Imagine A World
...where all family members feel safe in their home.
...where violence and the threat of violence are not glorified.
...where sexual assault is unknown.
...where no one believes that men are superior to women.
...where people do not oppress each other on the basis of their race, age, gender identity, background, sexual orientation, religion, or abilities.
...where physical, emotional, and sexual abuse are not tolerated.
The founders of Bradley-Angle House imagined such a world. Those who followed in their footsteps have kept this vision alive for nearly three decades.

Herstory
Bradley-Angle House was founded in 1975, by women that had had enough violence for a lifetime and were ready to make a change. Named for Sharon Bradley and Pam Angle, who died from the violence of living on the streets in Portland, Oregon, Bradley-Angle House was the first domestic violence shelter on the West coast. Today it provides a continuum of supportive services for survivors of domestic violence and sexual assault and their children, serving individuals and families of all backgrounds, cultures, ages, and sexual orientations. Through all our programs Bradley-Angle House continues to plant the seeds of social change. Our dream is to end sexual and domestic violence in all its forms.
