A Fireside Conversation with Anita Hill: Wisdom, Courage, & 50 Years of Advocacy

During Domestic Abuse Awareness Month, we had the profound honor of hosting a fireside chat with Anita Hill, whose lifelong commitment to justice continues to shape the movement to end gender-based violence. Her reflections remind us how far Bradley Angle has come, and how much work there still is to do.

Professor Hill spoke about the beginnings of this movement and the power of sustaining it over generations:

“Imagine, 50 years ago, the idea of an organization like Bradley Angle coming forward to pay attention to these issues - it's just amazing.”

She emphasized the importance of nurturing new voices and leaders in this work:

“You have brought in a new generation of advocates. Not every organization embraces that, and that is what will keep this work vibrant for the next 50 years.”

And she left us with a message that carries us into the new year:

“The things you are doing today will continue to resonate. Your fire keeps this work alive.”
